"Era of Energy Medicine. Everything in the Universe has a frequency and all you have to do is change a frequency or create an opposite frequency. That's how easy it is to change anything in the world, whether that's disease or emotional issues or whatever that is. This is huge. This is the biggest thing that we have ever come across" - The Secret by Rhonda Byrne

Developing Systems of Carbon-Capture Technologies, Solar Energy and Sustainability

Recalling the initial concept of the building design scheme, from the previous post, we recollect on the notion of the two buildings that come together as one through a main access core of elevators. As we move forward from the schematic structural process and develop the façade and building skin of the project, we must consider the adaptive uses of sustainable measures and the innovation towards a Carbon Net-Zero environment. To the right you see a lot map introducing the chosen site which is found in between the areas of SoHo and Greenwich Village, with ideas of developing and stimulating a new culture and interactive environment in the area, identifying a new node. Although for the sake of this post we will skip the studies and realities of the site, as we are introducing the innovative Carbon-Capture Technology which is really transcending the architectural façade and sustainable features of a building.

In the sketches below of the lot map we see the development of the building from architectural form to sustainable features to the exterior façade. Then realize that the main concept of the two buildings working together are now trying to enforce a new Technology of Carbon-Capture through Direct and Nature-Based processes which allow air and water to be filtered and remediated through a Cascade Waterfall and custom Façade Panels using materials of Algae, Metal Zinc and Metal Oxide Film. The Algae is set to absorb the Carbon Dioxide in the air and filters it for cleaner Oxygen ventilation in the building. While the Metal Zinc and Metal Oxide Film work to allow the capture of Solar Energy for transfer of electricity  and capture of rainwater, harvest it and then create a new liquid of Carbon Acid and electrical self-sufficiency for the building. The Carbon Acid harvested is then drained to the bottom of the building subfloor into two tanks in where one serves for the creation of Energy Fuel for the building's mechanical systems and the other for the grey water applications in the rest of the building.

The marvel of the building of coarse being the Cascade of Water coming from the designed sprinkler, alluding to a large waterfall from the sky that then serves as a scientific spectacle of remediation for the production of energy fuel and grey water in the subfloor as shown in the renderings and process material below. More importantly, approximately a measured .027 gigatons of Carbon Dioxide could be sequestered daily and around 6-9 gigatons a year through this building prototype technology, more depending on the amount of stories and building height.
